UPDATE 25 October 2023: We’re pausing the Skate and Donate Campaign.

Over the last 5 months we have received  hundreds of donations from the Greater Manchester Skate Community. We’ve seen a great reaction to our call out in May, from small donations such as sets of bearings and bolts to big donations like full set-ups. We’re truly overwhelmed by the response to the campaign,

Since then, we have received enough donations to build 30+ completes and make up more than 10 sets of safety equipment. On top of that we’ve got donations which will help us build more set-ups with additional funding to buy specific hardware.

We now want to focus on the donation of this equipment to children around Greater Manchester so we've decided to pause the campaign until we have donated a suitable amount, at which point we plan to take up the programme again.

Over the coming weeks we will be doing our final round of collections but from today our partner drop off locations will no longer be accepting donations.

Thank you to everyone who donated and also a special shout out to the companies which supported the campaign by being drop-off locations and their staff who facilitated the programme.

We hope to launch the campaign again next year so keep an eye out for any updates on here.

As always if you would like to get involved with Skate Manchester, we’re always looking for new skaters to join and support our objectives. Send us an email.

We’re launching a new campaign to help get skateboarding equipment to those who need it around Greater Manchester.

From today, you can donate your skate equipment (everything from Decks to pads) to donation points around the area. We will collect and build set-ups to then donate to children around Manchester.

We’re looking for the following equipment:

  • Decks

  • Trucks

  • Bolts

  • Bearings

  • Wheels

  • Grip tape

  • Wrist guards

  • Knee pads

  • Elbow pads

  • Helmets

Guidelines:

  • We are after donations which still have some skating left in them (so no snapped decks etc)

  • You can donate at various locations around Manchester:

    • Note Skate Shop

    • Black Sheep Skate Shop

    • Subvert Skate Shop

    • Projekts Skatepark

    • Greystone Skatepark

  • Donations will be collected monthly from the donation points.

  • If you have any questions or other items not on the list to donate please email contact@skatemanchester.co.uk
